North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust

It’s your service, have your say!

Would you like a say in how the ambulance service is run? Could you represent the views and needs of your community? Do you have ideas to improve the service? If so, the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust (NWAS) wants to hear from you!

As part of the organisation’s bid to become a Foundation Trust, an extensive public engagement programme to seek opinion has been launched. The three month long public consultation, which launched on 10 January 2011, explains what becoming a Foundation Trust means to communities and partner organisations across the North West and also asks local people to comment on the Trust’s future plans.

The Government White Paper ’Equality and Excellence: Liberating the NHS’ has outlined the commitment for all NHS trusts to apply for Foundation Trust status and NWAS feels that providing communities and partners with the opportunity to be more involved in shaping the future of the service, is key to its success.

Your views are extremely important to the Trust and you are invited to feedback your comments. You can also visit one of NWAS’s public road show events that are taking place throughout the region. Here you can meet staff, find out about how the service is changing and sign up as a member to influence the Trust’s future changes and development.

Arrival at the public meetings is 5.30pm for a 6.00pm start with a free sandwich buffet and refreshments.
