Opportunity for Sefton LINk members - Join the Scrutiny Committee for Improving Services for Children in North Sefton

Sefton LINk has been invited to have a seat on the Scrutiny committee for improving services for children in North Sefton. This request has been through the LINk Steering Group governance process and it has been agreed that it is really important to have representation at this meeting. The LINk is therefore looking for an INDIVIDUAL member to represent the LINk. This could be someone who has children or grandchildren/ knowledge of childrens services/ resides in North Sefton.


Aim of the group

Building on the conclusions drawn in an independent clinical review of a proposal to provide a minor injuries unit for children in North Sefton, this group has been set up.

The group will monitor the progress of a project to undertake further work to identify options to improve services for children in the area which are safe, clinically viable and cost effective.

The group brings together the main commissioners of services for children in Sefton and the main scrutiny bodies to ensure that any options presented have been appropriately considered prior to presenting to the NHS Sefton Board in January 2011.
