In preparation for this year's Christmas Ball, Peter Teasdale at the Alzheimer's Society has issued an invitation to the event along with information about the evening. Please see below...
We would like to invite you to our first ever Christmas Ball on Saturday 27 November 2010 from 7pm - 1.30am at the Devonshire House Hotel, Edge Lane.
On the evening there will be a three course Christmas carvery, a live band singing Soul and Motown hits along with a disco, and the chance to win a great prize in our raffles. We hope you and your family/friends will come along and enjoy the night socialising whilst helping raise funds for both the Liverpool and Knowsley offices of the Alzheimer’s Society. We would also like to have support from local organisations and businesses through their attendance and or sponsorship so please feel free to invite any you may know.
Any money raised through ticket sales and raffles on the evening will help towards the provision of services for anyone affected by dementia in Liverpool and Knowsley. To date we have supported over 4000 people affected by dementia across Liverpool and Knowsley, however we know 1 in 14 people over the age of 65 are affected, rising to 1 in 6 over the age of 80. Therefore we know there are many more people living with dementia that need to access Alzheimer’s Society local services.
Tickets for the Christmas Ball are priced at £30, or the subsidised price of £15 for those of you that are registered with either of our Liverpool or Knowsley offices as a carer or person living with dementia. Tables seat 10 people (£300) or 8 if a wheelchair user is seated at the table.
