NCPTA's 2011 Gold Star Awards

The National Confederation of Parent Teacher Associations has announced the 2011 Gold Star Awards are now open to entries from PTA's, school leadership teams, governing bodies and other educational professionals. Purpose: The Awards recognise and reward good practice by PTA's. The NCPTA is a national charity representing over 13,000 PTAs across England, Wales and Northern Ireland.


The objectives of the NCPTA are to:
•    Seek a significant growth in the number of PTAs in membership
•    Maintain the quality and range of member support services and benefits
•    To ensure a high level of service is continued
•    To promote parent and school partnerships,
•    To encourage parental involvement in school life.
Through the Gold Star Awards they offer the chance to win £1,500 for your PTA.
There are six different categories you can enter, this are:
•    PTA fundraising achievement
•    Changing the life of the school
•    Achievement in parental involvement
•    Working with the local community
•    New PTA of the year
•    PTA Volunteer of the Year.
Area: England, Wales and Northern Ireland
Grant range: £1,500
Who can apply: PTA's, school leadership teams, governing bodies and other educational professionals.
