NHS Sefton has a duty to develop and publish a Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA) by 1 February 2011. The PNA is a statement of the pharmaceutical needs of the population of the PCT. It will be used to make decisions when applications are received to open new pharmacies, move existing pharmacies and which services should be provided by a pharmacy in a particular area or Sefton.
The Draft PNA is included for your information. NHS Sefton welcomes your comments on the document.
If you wish to comment on the PNA then response forms can be downloaded using the web links below. You may also comment by telephone, e-mail or over the internet -contact details are included on the response form.
Your responses will be analysed and changes to the Draft PNA will be made if deemed appropriate. Where such changes are made, or it is determined no changes are necessary, then NHS Sefton will explain it’s rational in the final PNA.
The consultation process begins on 5th October 2010 and closes on 6th December 2010. The final PNA will be published by 1st February 2011.
