‘That Takes Ovaries!’A celebration of women‘s courage, perserverance and down right outrageousness! Consisitng of women’s real life stories from around the world. These tales of derring-do include the tales of the disabled woman who organises a ‘pee protest’ to secure her right to an accessible toilet on campus, the ‘schoolgirls who fght for thier right to wear trousers and the women who risked their lives to highlight issues such as child prostitution and honour killings.
After the performance we invite you all, women and men, to join in an open mic session to tell your own stories of ovarian bravery! Tell a tale and win a 'golden ovary'!
All profits will go to Merseyside Women’s Movement nominated charities for 2011: RASA, Merseyside’s Rape & Sexual Assault Support Service and Sreepur; a Bangladeshi women’s village helping to support women through poverty & trauma.
