Breakthrough UK, who promote the rights, responsibilities and respect of disabled people, want to hear your views and experiences of Personalisation. Is it working for you/your service users? We need to know! This is your opportunity to influence policy development and local implementation in a changing world.
Personalisation will not only require the significant transformation of adult social care but could also change the way the voluntary sector is funded in the next few years.
The deadline to complete this short 10 minute survey is midday Friday 25th November 2011.
This piece of work is becoming increasingly more important to be able to build an independent North West picture for disabled people and the sector as a whole.
Please follow the link to take the survey - http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/LM5MQ2L
Parts of the information gathered from this survey will then be used to go forward into the Government’s White Paper Engagement Exercise which is due to close early December 2011.
What is the Government’s White Paper Engagement Exercise?
The Government has now identified six areas where they feel there is the biggest potential to make improvements to the care and support system. Between now and December, they will be having discussions on these areas with a range of people and organisations involved with care and support. They want to discuss what people's priorities are, and this will feed directly into a White Paper that will be published in April 2012, alongside a progress report on funding reform.
The priorities proposed are:
1. Improving quality and developing the workforce
2. Increased personalisation and choice
3. Ensuring services are better integrated around people's needs
4. Supporting greater prevention and early intervention
5. Creating a more diverse and responsive care market
6. The role of the financial services sector in supporting users, carers and their familiesFor more information please visit www.breakthrough-uk.co.uk
